Sam Scott, JC
Director of Operations ()
Sam Scott is the Director of Operations with Summit Design Remodeling. As Director of Operations, Sam works directly with our sales and design team to insure that the projects are designed in a manner that will ultimately result in a finished project that is not only beautiful and functional but well constructed. Sam also leads our team of highly skilled Project Leaders. The Project Leader is the on-site manager of your project.
Sam comes to Summit with over 22 years of experience in the building and remodeling industry. He has held positions from field carpenter to production planning and management roles. Sam brings to Summit a great deal of experience as his most current role was as a Project Manager for Case Design Remodeling for over seven years. In addition, he has a tremendous amount of product knowledge and can help clients pick products that suit their individual project needs. He holds a Journeyman Carpentry Certificate from Associated Builders and Contractors. Sam is also certified, through the Environmental Protection Agency, as a lead based paint renovator. Summit is proud to be a lead paint certified firm.
Sam's family is from northern Virginia and most of his early summers were spent at the family home in Dominion Hills, Arlington. Sam now makes his home in Frederick, Maryland with his wife Joyce and two children, Lauryl and Liam.
Sam has remodeled two of his own homes and enjoys upgrading his current home. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoys hiking and biking in the national parks especially in northern New Hampshire.
When asked why he enjoys the remodeling industry he said "I love spending time with our clients and having the satisfaction of seeing their projects grow from conception to completion."
When asked why he wanted to join the Summit team he remarked, "I want to be with a team that uses the entire team's combined strengths to put together great projects."

Project Leader ()
Mark is a Project Leader at Summit Design Remodeling and if assigned to your project he will oversee the building and construction of your new space. As project leader, Mark is required to maintain a frequent schedule to be at your home and ensure the remodeling process is successful and to client satisfaction. He enjoys working closely with clients and respects your home as your most valuable asset. Marks history in remodeling homes gives him extensive knowledge of the process as well as several areas of expertise in the industry.
Mark started his career in carpentry in 1984 working for Glickman Design/Build out of Rockville, Md. for more than 13 years. Since starting his career, Mark has been involved in all aspects of the remodeling process from building and construction to managing and overseeing the job site. With the knowledge and experience he has, Mark can foresee problems before they start and fix them if they come up. His knowledge and experience have proven to be valuable to any project he is working on.
Jeff Breeding
Project Leader ()
Jeff is a Project Leader with Summit Design Remodeling and is responsible for the day to day management of his remodeling projects. If he is your Project Leader, he will be at your home paying close attention to the quality of construction.
Jeff is a third generation carpenter with over 30 years of experience under his belt. He has worked for many well-known new home builders in Northern Virginia in both production and custom home environments. "I enjoy the one on one relationships that I build with my clients and I love anything to do with houses," remarked Jeff when asked about his dedication to the trade.
He was born in Manassas, VA and currently resides there with his wife and son. While attending high school in Bristol, VA near the Appalachian Mountains, Jeff studied architectural design and placed third in the state finals for carpentry.
In his free time Jeff enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Ultra Classic tour bike. His longest ride so far was to Myrtle Beach in 2008. He devotes his time to helping out in the community as well. He has assisted in the building of two homes through Habitat for Humanity. Carpentry is also one of his favorite pastimes. "I have as much fun working on my own home as I do working for others," commented Jeff.
